Relay for Life - Rebecca Austin & Russell Austin

The Relay For Life movement is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraiser dedicated to helping communities attack cancer. From team members to volunteers, we all want to remember those we’ve lost, help those affected today, and take action against cancer. Through funds donated, time given, or awareness raised, our communities are teaming up to make a difference, whether we’re connecting virtually or sharing space. When we rally together in the fight against cancer through this fun and inspirational event, we can accomplish anything.

A robotics club is a gathering of students who are interested in learning about and working with robots. At school, robotics clubs typically take place after school, in a classroom, and are moderated by a member of the teaching staff.

Spelling Bee - Melinda Kennedy

Every year, students from all walks of life have the opportunity to participate in the National Spelling Bee. They progress from classroom to cafeteria, from auditorium to civic center, just as millions of other students have done before them. The National Spelling Bee began in 1925 when nine newspapers joined together to host a spelling bee. Little did they know that 90 years later their literacy effort would reach 11 million students each year.

The National BETA Club was founded in 1934, and has become the nation's largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization.

Our Junior BETA Club is an honor organization that recognizes outstanding academic achievement, promotes strong moral character and social responsibility, encourages service to others, fosters leadership skills, and provides settings for you to develop strong interpersonal skills.

This organization is open to 7th and 8th grade students by invitation only who meet all requirements.

Battle of Books - Lori Eggers

America's Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program for students in 3rd thru 12th grades. Students read books and come together, usually in groups, to demonstrate their abilities and to test their knowledge of the books they have read. The student competitions are usually similar to the TV series Family Feud or Whiz Kids styles of competitions.
