We Did It!!!!

East Burke Middle came through again!!! We met our goal with 2,325 total items including $84.50. In 26 years, EBMS has never donated less than 2,000 items.  What a long streak of tradition. Thank you for pulling together to help our neighbors for Thanksgiving.   Way to Go Raiders!!!!!!

Food Drive

 The 26th Annual Food Drive is underway.  The Sixth Grade is collecting non perishable food items for East Burke Christian Ministries. You can participate by bringing your items to your homeroom teacher before Nov. 16.  Please donate so we can help our neighbors have a wonderful Thanksgiving. 

Washington Trip Information

The final Washington DC trip meeting will be Monday, Nov 6th at 6 pm in the theater.  

Final trip itineraries, packing lists and medication form will be available.
 
Also, ALL paperwork, medication forms AND medications MUST be turned in to school no later than Nov 13th

Below are some important upcoming dates for out PTA:

Thursday, October 26: PTA Meeting @ 3:15 - We would like to have parents come and be apart of these meetings.

Friday, October 27: Duty Free Lunch - We need volunteers to help monitor the kids in the cafeteria during the hours of 10:45 and 1:15. If you are available to help any during these hours, please contact our office at 828-397-

Mr. Penland Gets Locked-Up for MDA

Mr. Penland has  been nominated to participate in the Hickory Lock-Up for MDA. He has been accused of having a big heart and a great sense of humor. Please help him escape and Make a Difference in the lives of local families. MDA is dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and other neuromuscular diseases. MDA provides hope and help, by searching for a cure and providing important services to families right here in our community. Game and Practice Changes for Today

The football game has been cancelled for today, September 6.  It will be played tomorrow.  Football will still practice in the Auxiliary Gym today.

Boys and girls soccer has been cancelled for today also,  These teams need to be prepared to practice tomorrow.
