Athlete at Heart - Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge
Athlete at Heart is a free sports-specific health screening and educational program for high school and middle school student-athletes. The screenings include a review of the athlete’s medical history, a sports-specific medical and musculoskeletal exam, a heart exam, and a vision test. All student athletes must have a current physical before they are allowed to tryout and participate in middle school or high school athletics. Any student interested in trying out for an athletic team next year is encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
Flyers are available at the school if you need additional information.
If you wish to register for the free physicals, you must do so on-line. Please click the Athlete at Heart link on the right of this page to register or for more information.
EBMS collects Box Tops for Education. All proceeds benefit the library. This allows the library to buy books to help improve its selection for students. There are collection opportunities twice a year, usually in October and February. Details will be given to the students at the beginning of the school year! Please start saving those Box Tops!
